Navigating Parenthood as a Single Mom to Three Teenagers

Being a single mom to three teenagers is an unpredictable journey. The structured parenting methods that worked when they were younger no longer apply, and now, it's about guiding rather than controlling. Here’s how I’m adjusting my approach and preparing for their inevitable independence.

1. From Manager to Coach

When my kids were younger, rules and structure made parenting straightforward. Now, micromanaging their lives doesn’t work. Instead, I take a step back, offering guidance only when they seek it. Independence and learning how to ask for help are life skills they need to develop.
